Job Opportunity Digital Project Manager- Advertising Strategist

Our boutique agency is seeking support for the on-going management of our clients’ digital marketing campaigns, with a secondary focus on overseeing website maintenance and enhancement projects.

 

Your immediate focus here will be on project management and digital strategy, followed by overseeing and helping to continue building and refining our digital advertising program in AdWords, LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram.

 

The ideal candidate is a freelancer with strong organizational skills and a background in project management and digital strategy.  You will be responsible for analyzing our current portfolio, providing recommendations, and managing client accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and adjusting our Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Marketing. Bonus if you also have email marketing experience. If you have intermediate front end WordPress experience and graphic design capabilities for formatting graphics for display and social media, that is a major plus.

 

A keen understanding of the importance of conversion tracking and the principles of developing advanced bidding strategies based on audience engagement / re-targeting for custom audiences. Our campaign are not structured to achieve vanity CPC metrics, but to generate business results.

 

Our clients are a friendly and professional mix of small – medium-sized businesses in the health and wellness space (pet care / plant-based meal delivery / boutique fitness) as well as trade associations and labor unions in the maritime industry. We’ve also recently partnered with another digital agency that specializes in digital advertising for independent authors and book publishers.

 

This is primarily a remote position, but you must be available during east coast business hours. Option to work at the WeWork “White House” MetSq building in downtown Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will be able to come into the office for on-boarding and some working session at inception, followed by monthly check-in meetings, but will primarily be working independently with minimal direct supervision If you have intermediate front end WordPress experience and graphic design capabilities for formatting graphics for display and social media, that is a major plus.

 

While you will have additional resources at your disposal for advanced advertising configuration, website updates, and graphic design, to the extent you can manage these yourself, you’ll be awarded more work and a higher rate.

Expected Utilization:

 

  • Digital Strategy:
    • Boutique Pet Care Business (6-8 hours / week)
      • If you are an animal lover, this will be an ideal role. You will be helping to define and implement a social media and content marketing strategy for Washington D.C.’s most beloved pet care locations as they expand from two to three locations.
        • For the right candidate, this role could expand into a larger opportunity to manage social media for this business at 16 hours / week

 

    • Plant-Based Meal Delivery (2-4 hours / month)
      • Assisting with the conception and execution of various promotional campaigns.
      • Data Analytics Reporting

 

  • General Project Management (4-8 hours / week)
      • Working with management to ensure extended team members and contractors are producing client deliverables
      • Quality control of monthly data analytics reports for website maintenance clients
      • Assisting with new business pitches

Requirements

  • Experience with core software suite and CMS systems:
    • Asana / Google Apps / Harvest / Slack
    • WordPress CRM
    • Google Data Studio
    • Facebook Business Manager
    • Spyfu + SEM Rush
    • Squarespace & Shopify
  • Certifications (Please include confirmation with your portfolio)
    • While not essential, certification in Google AdWords + Analytics is strongly desired.
      • Major Plus: Google Tag Manager & Google Data Studio & Facebook Blueprint Certification

 

Compensation

Hourly: $40 – $75 / hour, depending on experience with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses based on efficiency and increasing client engagements.

After success on a few projects and tasks, our ideal candidate will move into an on-going monthly retainer to oversee client accounts, monitor, and improve on advertising account performance.

Opportunities for additional hours for project management and taking on fixed-fee projects are also available for new client on-boarding and more complex account configurations for e-commerce and B2C clients.
