The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA) needed a package of all conference information into a user-friendly mobile application experience.
A common challenge for small-to-medium sized conference event planners is having the ability to simultaneously provide event information, as well as engage and update attendees, in a simple and easy manner, without the time and budget commitment of native, device specific mobile application development.
GSS was engaged to design and develop the Junior League of Atlanta’s Women’s Leadership Forum mobile application, providing a quick and easy mobile experience for a one-day conference. Our main consideration was to provide an aesthetically please, easy-to-use single resource for limited distribution, while keeping costs low.
After a creative kickoff and visioning session, GSS initiated its design and project management process to develop a unified brand-feel for the application, before moving into development using our web-based application framework, BuildFire, to launch the Women’s Leadership Forum Progressive Web Application (PWA).
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are the perfect budget-conscious, short-term solution, with instant publishing and real-time updating, and direct-to-download user access.
Advantage: GSS generated a unique link for users to download the app directly to their device outside of app stores, achieving closed, intended audience-only access.
